Holiday Inn Express Somerset, an IHG Hotel

So everything was good this visit. Was disappointing that the indoor pool was cold. Manager said that the heater was working great...until today(Jan. 17)

The hotel clerk Dikskra was AMAZING in getting me checked in quickly! I was traveling cross-country on my motorcycle. The temperature dropped dramatically and I pulled off the turnpike to the Holiday Inn Express. I was greeted warmly and made aware of all the specials before I locked in on a room. The encounter was great along with other random questions that were answered. I've never done laundry at a hotel, I was given change and detergent for my needs. My room was super clean and the hotel as a whole was very clean!! I had no issues and would definitely recommend staying there and returning Everytime I come through Pennsylvania.

Clean and spacious rooms. Adequate hot breakfast. Easy check in and checkout. Convenient location...literally just past the PA turnpike tollbooths. My only minor qualm is the shower curtain in our room was getting a bit raggedy and could use an update. Other than that, we had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

I’m currently having breakfast and once again, I’m reminded why I choose to stay at Holiday Inn Express when I book hotels. The atmosphere is filled with cheer and laughter as diverse guests enjoy the wonderful breakfast offered. It truly feels like a warm, welcoming environment. God is good.

Hotel is under construction but didn’t affect the stay. Sign at front desk lists where ice and guest laundry is. Went to do laundry but washer was out of order. That should have been on the sign at the front desk. Grout in the bathroom was dirty in one spot making me wonder if it was stained or just not mopped. Shower curtain had some mold/mildew on it. And coffee maker was on top shelf. Being 5’4” even standing on tip toes I couldn’t see to pour the water in. Phone ringing next door at 5:30 am could have been in our room it was so loud and every foot step above could be heard. So the rooms are not quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection but the hot foods were barely lukewarm. Fresh ground coffee was a bonus though!

Me, my girlfriend and her daughter stayed over the new year holiday! First I just want to say the room was spotless! The breakfast was great and the lobby was clean and decorated for the season! Overall our hotel experience was great but I’m leaving a review because the front desk assistant John made our stay stress free and easy with checking in. He was outside overnight shoveling the snow at the entrance and the weather was terrible. It stormed and snowed a lot and he made sure the entire time we stayed the loading area was clear for guests. On top of all of that he was great with her daughter as we waited for the cars to warm up and chatted with him, He was shaking the decorative presents with her and guessing what was inside them. Pretending Santa was going to grab them when he stayed at the holiday inn in a few days! He also gave us a late checkout because the weather was just finally clearing up before our trip home. He just went above and beyond and I hope his employer knows he helped make our holiday vacation more special and John knows his hard work and hospitality is appreciated!

Beautiful room, nice facilities. A little issue checking in, nothing serious. Would stay again when in the area

Loved that I couldn't hear the next door guest. The prices at least on the weekdays are pretty decent. Right off the highway which is pretty convenient for me.
